Marwane Soumer is a French designer and artist of North African and European heritage, based between Doha (QA), Paris (FR), and Rotterdam (NL). Educated in interior architecture in Paris (FR), then in design in Bruxelles (BE), and a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL), his practice is shaped by a sensitivity to form, space, and cultural memory.

 

Working through Studio Soumer, he moves between collectible objects, installations, and large-scale public works, where digital fabrication meets hand-finished detail and narrative depth. His work explores how design can connect inherited knowledge with contemporary technologies, creating pieces that are both tactile and forward-looking.

 

Drawing from Arab, Mediterranean, and European references, Marwane develops projects that are materially expressive, emotionally grounded, and rooted in dialogue between place, identity, and making.
